Set Up Fees + First 5'000 Stitches
<15cm Diameter Circle - $20
>15cm Diameter Circle - $30
Before your item even hits the machine, it has to be prepped
This is referred to as hooping and is charged per location per item
If you are having more than one design done on one item, but in different locations,
e.g. Shirt: Front Chest and Back
chances are that I will have to hoop up twice and you will be charged more than one hooping fee
Stitch Count After the First 10'000 Stitches
$2 - $4/1'000 stitches
Some designs that use specialty threads such as metallic thread,
or lace, intricate designs, fine detail work etc. call for the machine to be slowed down
so as to not compromise the stitch quality.
Generally, the machine will be running at about half speed in this case and will be charged at the higher rate
dependent on time.
Design Testing
I strongly recommend that you have a test run done before the real thing
especially if you're using your own blank.
Unfortunately I can only offer a 25% discount on test runs.
This is not needed when you have the design digitized by me.
I DO NOT DISCOUNT BULK ORDERS
I PREFER TO USE BLANKS FROM MY SUPPLIERS

if you purchase a file from another designer, I will have to test it first

I use an industrial machine as well as domestic
so there is a very wide range of items I can embroider with great stitch quality
Being the digitizer as well, I have complete quality control during the entire process
The general rule is "if you can get it flat, you can embroider that"
Madeira Polyester threads are usually used, but sometimes I will switch to Rayon.
Embroidery is designed to outlast cheaper decoration options such as vinyl transfer, sublimation or DTG.
Basically, when you want to be keeping an item for more than 50-100 washes, it may be beneficial to look into embroidery.
It tends to be more expensive, especially with larger designs. Embroidery is an investment.
It's there to last as long as the item / garment does.
For this reason it is very important not to purchase low quality blanks.
Not only can these items cause issues with embroidery its self, but they just don't last
long enough to justify the cost.

Customer Supplied Garment Policy Waiver The customer’s garments (or other articles) are accepted on the strict understanding that JLD will not accept any liability whatsoever for any mistakes, stains, and damage to the customer supplied garments. JLD's printing process and other decorating techniques, such as screen printing and embroidery, involve high heat and other treatments that may impact the quality of the decoration and the item to be decorated. In addition, there is some risk that printer and human errors will occur. All garments are left entirely at the customer’s own risk. If you supply the garment (or other articles) and there is a problem, we can not replace your item nor reimburse you for the item’s value. Your damaged piece will be returned to you with an apology. This is why we prefer to work on garments from our suppliers that JLDigitizing knows will work for your needs and may be easily replaced should a production error occur. We do not replace or reimburse customer-owned garments that fade after being washed. When presenting your own garments for decoration, you will be required to sign a waiver indicating your acceptance of these terms before we will decorate them.
