The Valknut has its origins deeply rooted in Scandanavia.
It is considered to be the symbol of the god Odin.
We don't have much information from the Old Norse, but we do know this symbol was often used in the context of the afterlife and death. But not any ordinary death.
The death of a warrior.
We also know that the Valkyrie would take soldiers who died during battle to Odins hall and this symbol was worn by those going to war.
